Etymology
Cf. Šū̃minas (see), further cf. Brus Шум, Ukr. Шум ¹, Russian. Шумин (CAМC IV 810) etc.♦ May be from lit. Slavic šùminti, šùmyti „dūkti, šėlti, smarkauti, triukšmauti; triukšmingai ūžti“ (LKŽe).
