Etymology
The stem is derived from adrul- (suffix -ul-). The origin of the root adr- is unclear. May be from andr-, cf. Abrozẽvičius (see) < *Ambrozevičius. But it can also be a Christian avd that came through the Slavs. Adrian reflex, cf. Brus Aдpык, Aдpук: Aдpiан ¹, Russian. Aдpя: Aдpиан ².
