Akuta
AKUTA
Etymology
The origin is unclear. It may be a later rework from *Akutis (see Akẽlis) or from *Akutas ¹. But cf. Russian Oкута ². It is not impossible to have a connection with the root jak- personal pronouns, cf. Ablònski: Jablònski - see Akutáitis, person called Yakutãvičius.
