Gender Baldžius, restored from German. Baldsƶus, Baldschus of inscriptions also raises doubts, because German inscriptions can also reflect the root balč-, cf. Baltrùšis, also spelled Baldruschis in German. Such an assumption would be supported by the fact that more surn. The furniture is not known at all, and surn. Bal̃čius is especially popular in western Lithuania. Pvt. The origin of the furniture is unclear.
