Al̃z-bert (?), Bý-bart, Daũ-bart, Daũ-bart, Каm̃-bart, Ký-bart, Kim̃-bart, Кim̃-bart, Liù-bart (and Liū̃-bart), Nó-bart, Sum-bart, Vim̃-bart (see); pers.n. Ei̇̃-baras, Liaũ-baras, Vý-baras, Lý-bartas, Liù-bartas ⁴, OPr. Sam-barte ⁵, Ki-bar ⁶, Wisse-bar ⁷. The stem bar(t)- is related to lit. scold, cf. Russian бopoться „kovoti“ ⁸. It seems that gail- is unknown in present-day compound surnames with the first consonant, but in general it occurs in compound personal names, cf. pers.n. known from writings Gail-boden (: Gail-i-butas), Gayle-gedde, Gaile-mynne ⁹, OPr. Gayle-manne, Gayle-minne ¹⁰. Sans gail- is especially common in the second sans of compound white personal names, cf. lit. Bi-gáila, Bý-gaila, Bu-gáila, Bú-gáila, Dim-gáila, Jo-gáila (and Ju-gáila), Kaz-gáila?, Kens-gáila, Kenz-gáila, Kins-gáila, Lio-gáila, Liu-gáila, Lu-gaila, Min-gáila, Min-gailis, Mit-i-gáila, Nór-gaila, Nor-gáila, Rim-gáila, Rin-gáila, Roz-gáila, Ruz-gáila, Sen-gáila, Sin-gáila, Skens-gáila, Skins-gáila, Skir-gáila, Skir-gaila, Skirz-gáila, Son-gáila, Son-gaila, Sum-gáila, Sun-gáila, Sur-gai̇̃lis, Svir-gaila, Šir-gaila, Un-gáila, Vir-gáila, Viz-gáila, Zin-gáila, Zon-gaila, Žon-gáila, Žun-gáila (see).
