Besasparis

In the vicinity of Troškūnai, it is pronounced Besūspãris (see), therefore possibly also Besaspãris < *Besąsparis. However, the thirsty Besūspãris is an alien, so this pronunciation cannot be trusted too much. If Besaspãris was indeed from *Besąsparis, then perhaps it is a derivative of the ending -is from the syntactic compound without sá́spa. It would be a pejorative nickname.
