Etymology
Cf. Brumpreikszas ¹. Most likely a composite surn., the second part of which is the appellative preiċ̃kšas „užkurys“ (LKŽ X 597). The origin of the first sand is not entirely clear, but it is probably from pers.n. Brùnius (see) or similar. Hence, Bruñpreikšas is „Bruniaus užkurys“. See also Unprecedented.
