Bulderis
BÙLDERIS
Etymology
Cf. Latin Bulders ¹, Buldurs ², Bulderes k., Bul̃durs k., Bul̃duri k. These Latv. place names, which are probably derived from the proper personal names and not simply from appellatives, are associated with Limm. language loanword bul̃duris „plepys, švebeldžiuojąs, rėksnys“ ³, cf. lit. borrowed boulder „riebus žmogus, dručkis, nutukėlis“ (LKŽ I 1150). Due to Latv. bul̃dur-: bul̃der- see LVV I 348.
