Bučnys

The origin of the surnames Bùčnis, Bučnỹs, Bùčnius is not entirely clear, but perhaps they can be considered derivatives of the endings ¹ from bučnùs „kuris mėgsta bučiuotis“ (LKŽ I 1117). However, the possible connection with pvd should not be overlooked. Kiss (see).
