Cf. lit. di̇̀nda „tinginys, išdykėlis“ (LKŽ II 559). But other connections are also possible, cf. polish Dynda, Dyndo (SSNO I 548), Ukr. Диндин ¹, bRuss. Дзiндзюк, which is associated with Ukr. динда „valkata, mergišius“ ².
