KLÌNCERIS
Etymology
Cf. Kli̇̀ncar (see). Further, apparently, it is connected with Latv. Klincars ¹, whose origin is not entirely clear. Cf. (?) Latv. klince „nevikrus, nerangus, storas žmogus“ (LVV II 228). But it can also be a Germanism, cf. German Klenz, Klintzing, Glinz ², etc.
