Cf. Krei̇̃šmon (see). Maybe compound surnames. For mon(t)- < man(t)- - see Mañgin. The origin of the first cross is unclear. Perhaps connected with lit. chest „kėsintis, baustis; grasinti; gintis, spirtis, priešintis“ (LKŽ VI 504).
