Etymology
Cf. Labzhendis, Lãbžintis (see). There may be compound surnames, the second syllable of which is from lit. son-in-law, cf. Simoñ-zhentis, Vi̇̀kt-a-zhentis, Vit-ã-zhentis, Adom-zhentis ¹. The first sanda lab- then it would be reasonable to associate it with Labỹs (see) or something like thimm.
