Laputis

It is not entirely clear whether the suffix -utis is derived from Lãpė, Lãpas (see), etc., or is connected, let's say, to lit. lãputis „toks lapų parazitas, lapų utėlė“ (LKŽ VII 160). See also Z. Zinkevičius, 1977, p. 164.
