Cf. Bending (see). Perhaps with the suffix -ša it is made from leñkti „daryti nulinkusį, netiesų; riesti; žemyn leisti, sverti“ (LKŽ VII 347). For the derivation, cf. dri̇̀bšas: to shiver, mi̇̀gšas: to sleep, etc. i.e. ¹.
