Lupatovičlus

Cf. Lupeti̇̀nsk (see). Perhaps glorified from * Lupatas, *Lupata, *Lupeta or the like, cf. lit. lùpata, lùpatas „nuskuręs, apsileidęs, niekam tikęs žmogus“ (LKŽ VII 696-697), lùpeta „idem“ ¹. On the other hand, the root lupat- here can be from lopat- ².
