Cf. Most-vi̇̀las (see). It is further associated with lit. surn. Mañst-vi̇̀las, Monst-vilà, Moñst-vilas, Mãs-nation, Mos-nation (see). Probably later changed, sometimes dialectal surn. from genders with mst-. This is clearly confirmed by the surnames Mañstvilas, Moñstvilas < *Mąst-vilas. Sandas thought- is associated with lit. to think „galvoti, protauti“, to think „mintis, sumanymas“ (LKŽ VII 898) - see A. Salys, 1933, p. 90. For vil- - see Vi̇̀lbut.
