It is not impossible that in one case some of these surn. can also be of nickname origin, derived from mi̇̀cas „paršas, meitėlis“, mi̇̀cė „kiaulė“, mi̇̀cis „micas“, cf. mi̇̀ckus „micas“ (LKŽ VIII 131-132). Pvt. Micéika may be a derivative of the suffix -eika from lit. mi̇̀cinti „varginti“ or from micénti „pamažu bėgti, kicenti, bidzenti“, mi̇̀cinti „judinti, krutinti, vizginti (uodegą)“ ¹. However, most of the time, apparently, these surnames will be derived from the baptismal name Dimitrijus, cf. Brus Миц: Димитpий ². See also Mi̇̀ckus.
