Namajūnas

The origin is unclear. May be later changed surn. from *Namaniūnas < *Nemaniūnas - see Nemaniūnas. For such a change, cf. the name of the village Nemajū́nai (Prieņu district), whose previous, local people's and currently used gender is Nemaniū́nai.
