Etymology
Cf. Pliskà (see), although this surn. may have other origins; cf. lit. the Germanism plỹskas „plyckas; paplotis; skrylis; sklindis“ ¹, which is known only as surn. Plyskáitis in areas of prevalence, so surn. maybe with the suffix -aitis made of *Plyskius, *Plyskis or something like thimm.
