Etymology
Cf. Stangvylà, Stangvi̇̀las (see). Double-stemmed examples, the second joint of which is vil-, for it, see Vi̇̀lbut. The origin of the second sentence is unclear, perhaps cf. Stangỹs (see), cf. also Z. Zinkevičius, 1977, p. 199, although it could be changed from steig-, see Stigville.
