Etymology
Cf. German Tinius, Thinius: Antonius ¹, Thinnes: Antonius ². But there may be other origins, cf. lit. ti̇̀nti „plakti dalgį; mušti, daužyti“, ti̇̀nti „nenormaliai plėstis, burkti (apie audinius)“ (DLKŽ) - see Z. Zinkevičius, 1977, p. 210.
