Cf. Rich man (see). These surn. the root turč- can possibly be connected with lit. wealth „turtuolis“, wealth „vertybės, lobis, gėrybės; nuosavybė“ (DLKŽ) or similar. But cf. Tur̃činas, Turči̇̀nskas (see) and other names of Slavic origin.
