Etymology
The origin is not entirely clear. Perhaps cf. Úoga (see), although it could also be a double-stemmed example, the second branch of which is protected, see Gi̇̀mbut. Sand's origin is unclear. Cf. still Ùgintas, Ùgintas (see).
