Vaštakas

Cf. Vãštaka, Vãštokas, Voštakis (see). The origin is unclear. It can be suspected that these are compound examples, of which vasht-, vosht- are from vozt-, cf. lit. drive „dengti, daryti“, drive „dubiu dangčiu uždengti“ (DLKŽ) and so on. Sandas ak- would then be from lit. eyes
