Cf. Vi̇̀nca, Vinci (see). Most of our surnames with vinc- will probably come from the name Viñcas, Vinceñtas. However, in some cases, especially if they are from those dialects in which venc- is translated into vinc-, surnames with vinc- can also be derived from Veñclov, Vãclov ¹.
