Often, especially the last name Vė́daras, can be a nickname from lit. wind „pilvas, viduriai; kepta kruopų ar trintų bulvių dešra“ (DLKŽ). But sometimes other connections are also possible - with German. Weder ¹, especially with the baptismal name Kvẽdar ² - for this cf. surn.
