Burkantas

Probably a compound example: Bùr-kantas, cf. Bùr-kintas (see). For cant- see Kántautas. The origin of the first sand is unclear. Perhaps bur- is related to bar-, cf. Bar̃-kintas ¹. For more details, see Bargáila.
