Musvidas

Cf. Mùsvidis (see). Possibly compound surn., the second root of which is vid- (vyd-; for it see Vi̇̀dmantas). The origin of the first sand mus- is completely unclear. One can only guess that it is derived from mūs- < mans-, cf. Mustvilà < *Manst-villa etc. For the root man(s) - see Mastvilà.
