Cf. Match (see). The origin of the root network is unclear. Could be with the suffix -k- from tin-, see Thin Cf. still Russian Tинка: Aвгустин, Bалентин, Юстин etc. ¹ and lit. ti̇̀kti, tiñka „būti geram, naudingam; būti gražu, derėti and others“ (DLKŽ).
